SSS Provides BB Higher Education Scholarship on Bangabandhu’s 102th birthday

SSS Provides Bangabandhu Higher Education Scholarship on the occasion of Bangabandhu’s 102th birthday and National Children’s day on 17 March 2022.

17th March, the national holiday, is being known as ‘Father of the Nation’s birth centenary and it commemorates the birthday of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman who is regarded as the father of the nation of Bangladesh and he is popularly known as Bangabandhu. This national holiday in Bangladesh is observed on March 17th each of the year. The day is also celebrated as National Children’s Day.

On the occasion, a scholarship ceremonial program was held in the Conference room of SSS Foundation office in Tangail at 11 am on 17 March 2022. Twenty three Students from different universities and medical colleges of Bangladesh were provided Bangabandhu Higher Education Scholarship under the ECDP program of SSS.

The program was chaired by Abdul Hamid Bhuiyan, Executive Director of SSS, wherein Abdul Latif Miah, Director of ECDP program and Samtosh Chandra Paul, Director of Credit program were present as the special guests.

Executive Director and founder of SSS, Abdul Hamid Bhuiyan delivered a valuable speech for the Bangabandhu Higher Education Scholarship recipients. He said that SSS is being provided Bangabandhu higher education scholarship from the very beginning of this stipend declared.  He told the students to gain truthful and applicable knowledge.  He urged the students to study with perseverance till to ending the education. He also wished that after completion of education, students should engage themselves for the development of the country.

Earlier of the program, special guests Abdul Latif Miah and Santosh Chandra Paul delivered their valuable key speech regarding Bangabandhu Higher Education Scholarship and SSS Education Scholarship program as well.

At the end of program, 23 meritorious students were paid cash money for the period of January-March (2022) quarter. A total of 3 lac 13 thousand and five hundred Tk. provided to 23 students.

Mohammad Jubaer, Coordinator of ECDP program facilitated the whole program.

Students and guardians of the students and officials of SSS were present in the program.

Bangabandhu’s 102th birthday and National Children’s day was observed in many other sister concerned institutions of SSS on 17 March 2022.

SSS ENRICH program, supported by PKSF, organized a discussion meeting on the occasion of  Bangabandhu’s birth day and national children’s day at Dhainna and Hogra union premises in the same day respectively by SSS Dhainna and Beguntal Branchs.

SSS-Paura Ideal High School, Sonarbangla Children Home, SSS Technical and Vocational Institute and SSS Polytechnic Institutes organized discussion meetings in that order.

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was born in Tungipara village on March 17th 1920. He was the third among four daughters and two sons of his parents – Sheikh Lutfur Rahman and Saira Khatun.
