Workshop on ECCCP project held in Jamalpur

A follow up workshop on the activities and progress of the ongoing ECCCP-Flood project organized in project office at Melandah of Jamalpur on 13 March 2022. The main agenda of the workshop was to analysis the current activities, future direction and way out of provable challenges of the project.

Santosh Chandra Paul, Director of Credit Department; S M Yeahia, Deputy Director of Credit Department; Kazi Nurul Haque, Project Coordinator; Sheikh Muzammel Haque, Zonal Manager of Jamalpur Zone and other concerned staffs were present in the workshop.

SSS started to implement ECCCP-Flood (Extended Community Climate Change Project-Flood) from 10 November 2020, a new version of the previous CCCP, in the working area of Melandaha and Islampur upazila of Jamalpur, under Melandaha, Islampur and Hajrabari branches of SSS.

The activities under the project include: Raising homestead, setting up climate change tolerant sanitary latrines, installing flood-resistant tube-wells, rearing goats and lambs in platform method and extending high-valued agricultural technology in the flood-prone area.
