The Victory Day observance in Tangail: SSS organized several programs

SSS celebrated the 53^rd Victory Day on 16 December 2023 with several activities. SSS participated in different programs held by the District Administration of Tangail. SSS and its wings also arranged various activities including discussion and cultural ceremonies along with those of the local administration.

On this occasion, a rally was brought out at 8:00 am on 16 December (Saturday) from the SSS Foundation Office. Officers and staffs of SSS participated in the rally and it ended up placing wreaths at the martyrs’ monument in the Municipal Park of Tangail. Along with SSS, participants from different socio-cultural and political organizations, educational institutions, NGOs and mass media also offered their flowery tribute at the monument.

At 10:00 am, a discussion meeting on the significance of the victory day was held at SSS-Poura Ideal High School, Sonar Bangla Children Home and SSS-Non-govt. Polytechnic Institute.

In the discussion meetings, the participants emphasized the independence and liberation war of Bangladesh and the contribution of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to our independence.

An essay writing, drawing competition, and cultural ceremony were held following the discussion meeting. At the end of the competitions, prizes were distributed among the winners.

SSS also arranged a feast with an improved diet at lunch for the underprivileged children of Sonar Bangla Children Home.

Different offices at the field level and institutions of SSS also took part in the celebration of the Victory Day in collaboration with the local district and Upazila administration.
