21st February: National Martyr Day and International Mother Language Day

Society for Social Service (SSS), as a socioeconomic development and culture-friendly organization, celebrated 21st February—National Martyr Day and International Mother Language Day with enthusiastic and functional mode, putting on a comprehensive program in implementation throughout all offices and institutions under the Head Office and Foundation Office of the organization.

To observe the day, a good number of staff members of the organization drew together at the foundation office of SSS, Tangail and brought forward a rally under SSS Banner led by Mr. Santosh Chandra Paul, Director (Credit) at 7.15 am on 21 February 2023. Singing the great song—Amar Bhai-er Racte Rangano Akushey February… and Parading the Mymensingh Road, Victoria Road and Niralamoor, the rally reached the central Shahid Minar (Martyrs’ Memorials), Tangail and paid homage to the martyrs laid down their lives for the Mather Language—Bengali in 1952 with wreaths and remembered the hero (the martyrs) with extreme honor and love at 7.30 am.

 

Besides, SSS-Poura Ideal High School, SSS Sonar Bangla Children Home, SSS TVET Institute, SSS Non-Govt. Polytechnic Institute, SSS Hospital, zone, area, branch and other offices took proper initiatives to observe the day pursuing the arrangement of the respective Upzila and District Administrations. Concurrently, the organization emphasized other activities, especially–hoisting the national flag half-mast in the office buildings, offering fatiha, durood and munajad for the eternal rest of the martyrs, placing discussion meeting on the International Mother Language Day, Keeping drawing-competition among the children and adolescents (in SSS-Poura Ideal High School), providing high-quality-foods to the children (in SSS Sonar Bangla Children Home), organizing free medical camps, and so forth on 21 February, 2023 (daylong).

Mentioned, 21st February is a very important day, which carries about the history, scarification for mother language, bravery and nobility of the Bengali nation. The martyrs for the mother language in 1952 are real hero and immortal—the Bengali Nation and Bengali Speaking People around the earth remember them forever. We, Bengali Nation go ahead with our history, culture and language and build up poverty and hunger-free enriched Bangladesh over the world.
